We specialize in dog training the family pet and customize our programs to suit the individual needs of your dog. Whether you are looking to work on certain issues or just want your pet to learn basic obedience and be able to be off leash we can help.

We understand that there is no one method that works for all dogs. During our first meeting, we work with you and your dog to evaluate and determine the best training method to achieve results. A comforting environment assists in the training process; therefore lessons can be conducted in your home. We teach you how to communicate with your dog to modify unwanted behaviors and teach new ones. No matter the breed or size we can help, and since you can teach an old dog new tricks don’t think your dog is too old to start training today!

Besides Dog & Puppy Training, Sublime K9 also has a facility for Puppy Pre-school, Puppy Kindergarten and Puppy Classes in Nassau County.

Common Issues

  • House Training
  • Separation Anxiety
  • Jumping
  • Play Biting
  • Submissive Urination
  • Leash Pulling
  • Manners

IIs my dog too old to be trained?
No, most of the time people think if their dog is 5 years old, they are too old to be trained.  That is not true.  It really depends on the breed to decide if the dog is too old for
training and most of the time the answer to this questions is no.

I just want my dog to listen, I don’t care if he/she can sit and stay.  Why do I need formal dog obedience training?
Formal obedience training is the answer to correcting and modifying unwanted behaviors.  You must establish yourself as the pack leader and in order to do this there
must be a learned way for you to communicate with your dog.  Formal obedience training develops this communication and assists in teaching your dog that you are
the pack leader.

What method of training do you use?
We do not have one particular method that we use.  Our trainers have studied many different methods and will meet with you at your free evaluation to decide what
methods will work best for you and your dog.  You must feel comfortable with the method of training otherwise you will not effectively train your dog.

At what age can I begin?
At Sublime K9, our trainers are the puppy specialists. Our methods can be used on puppies starting at 8 weeks and up. Start off on the right paw with your dog and
begin bonding / training immediately.

Do you offer Puppy Preschool, Puppy Classes & Puppy Kidergarten on Long Island?
